Blakely was a three-time Academic All-Region/District/Conference. She was named the 1995 Jan Edds Female Athlete of the Year. She was a member of AXO, was a member of the HBU Student Foundation as a junior and senior, and was treasurer of the Panhellenic Council as a junior and Ex-Officio as a senior. On April 21, 2012, she became the first HBU student-athlete to have her number, #6, retired.
