Laura was named National Pitcher of the year in 2004, a season in which she posted a record of 22-6 with a 1.00 earned run average.  She was a three-time All-America selection and led the Huskies to four consecutive Red River Athletic Conference championships.  Hess is at the top of the all-time strikeouts and shutouts lists at HBU, is second in wins, complete games and innings pitched and is fourth all-time in ERA.
