Hall of Honor
Jessica Barrera was a four-year letterwinner as an outside hitter on the volleyball team from 2005-08. She earned All-Red River Athletic Conference honors in 2005 and 2006 and was an Academic All-Region selection. Barrera is one of only four members of HBU’s 1,000-1,000 Club with 1,447 career kills and 1,402 digs – the only member with at least 1,400 in each category. She ranks third all-time at HBU in kills, fifth in digs and eighth with 193 service aces, with her 73 aces in 2006 ranking 13th for a single season. Barrera posted a career-high 26 kills, which ranks ninth in school history in a five-set match, against Briar Cliff on Aug. 25, 2007.
