Smith was a two-time All-American for the Huskies for basketball, the Player of the Year in 2003-04, and a four-time Academic All-Conference. In the 2003-04 season, she scored 489 points, and shot 77.2% from the free throw line. Smith has the third most points in HBU history with 1771, the highest career field goal percentage at 64.2%, and is second in career rebounds with 1,088.

Smith was a two-time All-American for the Huskies in volleyball, a Region Front Row Specialist of the Year in 2003, the Defensive Specialist of the Year in 2003, and the Front Row Specialist of the Year in 2003.  In 2004, she had 409 kills, and 96 service aces. Smith is tenth in career kills with 1,092, second in career blocks solo with 183, fifth in career blocks assisted with 332, and ninth in career service aces with 181.
