Preston Stanley was a four-year letterwinner for the HBU men’s golf team from 2011-15. The Katy, Texas, native was a three-time all-conference selection, earning All-America Sky Conference and All-Tournament First Team honors in 2013, All-Southland Conference First Team honors in 2014 and All-Southland Conference Second Team honors in 2015. Stanley fired a 2-under par 214 to finish as the individual runner up to lead HBU to the 2013 America Sky Conference championship and HBU’s first NCAA postseason appearance since returning to Division I competition in 2007. That season, he had a 73.50 stroke average and fired a career-low and school record 7-under par 65 at the HBU Husky Invitational. Stanley qualified individually for an NCAA Regional in 2014 after finishing sixth at the Southland Conference Championship. He posted a 72.85 stroke average, with two top-five finishes and two more in the top 10. He put together the best tournament of his career when he shot 11-under par 205 to tie for third at the Jim West Intercollegiate. As a senior, Stanley recorded a 72.40 stroke average, tying for eighth at the Miramont Invitational at 2-under par, taking second at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational at 6-under par and tying for fourth at the Texas A&M Reveille Challenge at 2-under par.
