Hall of Honor
Heather Leaverton was a four-year letterwinner for the HBU volleyball team from 2009-12 and is one of only five members of the University’s 1,000-1,000 Club. The Pearland, Texas, native ranks sixth all-time with 1,196 kills and 11th with 1,218 digs. Leaverton became the first Husky in the Division I era to record 20 kills and 20 digs in a match, when she had 20 kills and 25 digs against Texas Tech on Sept. 14, 2012. She holds the school record for kills in a four-set match during the 25-point rally scoring era, when she registered 23 against NJIT on Nov. 16, 2012. She also holds the records for aces in a four-set match with five against St. Thomas on Oct. 6, 2009, and aces in a five-set match with four at Prairie View A&M on Oct. 13, 2009. Leaverton was a two-time All-Great West Conference selection, earning second team honors in 2009 and first-team honors in 2012.
