Ralton Way was a four-year letterwinner for the HBU men’s basketball team from 1977-1981 and was selected to HBU’s 1980s All-Decade Team. The San Antonio native is the Huskies’ all-time leader with 234 blocked shots, ranks tenth with 1,374 points and seventh with 745 rebounds. Way also set the single-season record with 85 blocks as a freshman during the 1977-78 season. He averaged 16 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a junior to earn his first of two-straight All-Trans America Athletic Conference selections, then averaged 10.9 points and 6.1 rebounds as a senior in 1980-81 to lead the Huskies to the first TAAC title in school history. Way scored a career-high 30 points against Oklahoma State on Dec. 10, 1980. He was drafted by the Washington Bullets in the 10th round of the 1981 NBA Draft.
