Connell was a three-time All-American for the Huskies, and a four-time All-Region player. In the 1997 season, she had a .500 batting average with 73 hits, and 7 of them were triples. She also had 48 runs scored and 45 runs batted in. Connell is second in most career hits with 221, fourth in career runs scored with 147, third in career triples with 12, second in career stolen bases with 44, fifth in career runs batted in with 127, and third in career batting average with a .397 average.
