RUSTON, Louisiana - HBU plays its fourth-straight weekend on the road when it faces Louisiana Tech in a three-game non-conference baseball series Friday through Sunday at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.
 
Friday's opener begins at 6 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. start Saturday and a 1 p.m. first pitch Sunday. The Legacy Sports Network audio broadcasts with Russ Reneau begins 10 minutes before each first pitch and are available on HBUHuskies.com.
 
The Huskies (5-8) are expected to send junior righthander Zach Carter (0-2, 1.89 ERA), senior lefthander Matthew McCollough (0-0, 5.19 ERA) and junior righthander Daniel Endsley (0-3, 7.62 ERA) to the mound. Junior righthander JT Newton is 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA and two saves, while senior righthander Matt Heck is 2-0 with a 4.86 ERA and a save out of the bullpen.
 
Senior leftfielder/third baseman Spencer Halloran leads HBU offensively, hitting .333 with four doubles, a home run, three RBIs and eight runs. Senior first baseman/catcher Jake Pulcheon has a team-leading 10 RBIs, while senior second baseman Jack Fitzgerald has driven in eight and scored six runs.
 
The Bulldogs (9-5) will likely send righthander Matt Miller (1-0, 0.50 ERA) and lefthanders Logan Robbins (2-0, 1.76 ERA) and Logan Bailey (1-1, 1.69 ERA) to the hill. Kent Hasler is 0-1 with a 5.79 ERA and leads La Tech with two saves.
 
Parker Bates is hitting .340 with five doubles, a triple, six RBIs and eight runs, while Dalton Skelton is hitting .321 with a double, a triple, a home run, three RBIs and eight runs. Chris Clayton has driven in a team-leading 13 runs and scored 12, and Tanner Huddleston has hit three home runs, driven in 12 and scored 13 runs.
 
La. Tech leads the all-time series against HBU, 4-1.
 
The Huskies return to action for the final game of a 13-game road stretch against UT Rio Grande Valley Tuesday at 6 p.m. from UTRGV Stadium in Edinburg, Texas.
