HAMMOND, Louisiana - HBU hits the road again to take on Southeastern Louisiana in a three-game Southland Conference series Friday through Sunday at Pat Kennelly Diamond. Friday's opener begins at 6 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. start Saturday and a 1 p.m. first ptich Sunday.
 
The Huskies (8-13, 2-1 SLC) will likely send junior righthander Zach Carter (0-2, 2.18 ERA), senior lefthander Matthew McCollough (1-1, 3.16 ERA) and junior righthander Brady Batten (2-2, 3.07 ERA) to the mound. Junior righthander JT Newton has a team-leading three saves, while junior righthander Matt Heck is 3-0 with a save out of the pen.
 
 Senior outfielder/third baseman Spencer Halloran is hitting .296 with four doubles, four home runs, 11 RBis and leads HBU with 13 runs and seven stolen bases, while junior centerfielder Jonathan Ducoff is hitting .290 with four doubles, a home run, two RBIs and nine runs. Heck is hitting .261 with two home runs and seven RBIs, senior catcher/first baseman Jake Pulcheon leads the Huskies with 14 RBIs and senior shortstop Tyler Depreta-Johnson has three home runs and 12 RBIs.
 
The Lions (16-8, 5-1) are expected to start righthanders Josh Green (3-1, 4.23 ERA), Carlisle Koestler (4-0, 1.16 ERA) and Kade Granier (1-2, 4.60 ERA). Bryce Tassin leads SLU with three saves.
 
Cody Grosse is hitting .347 with seven doubles, nine RBIs and 23 runs, while Drew Avans is hitting .316 with four doubles, two triples, four home runs, 21 RBIs and 21 runs. Mike Taylor is hitting .315 with six doubles, a triple, a home run and 18 RBIs, while Kyle Schimpf has two home runs and 18 RBIs.
 
SLU leads the all-time series, 8-5, but HBU swept the three-game series last year in Houston.
