GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – Kansas scored five runs in the fourth and five more in the sixth to defeat HBU, 14-1, in seven innings of the four-game series finale Sunday at QuikTrip Park.
Junior third baseman
Curtis Jones went 1-for-2 with an RBI, and senior rightfielder
Jordan McCoy tripled for the Huskies (7-5).
Justin Protacio went 4-for-5 with a triple, three RBIs and three runs for the Jayhawks (11-1). Michael Tinsley went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIS, and Michael Suiter went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a runs scored.
Drew Morovick (3-0) notched the win for Kansas, allowing only one hit in five innings. Junior
Ross Kennell (0-2) took the loss for HBU, allowing eight runs, only four earned, on 10 hits in 3.2 innings.
The Huskies return to action when they return home to host Texas Southern Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Husky Field.
