Biography

2014 (Sophomore): Waid made two appearances and had a 5.40 ERA with a strikeout and a walk in 1.2 innings...allowed a run against Kansas (3/2)…struck out one in a scoreless inning at TCU (4/15).
 
Previous School: Redshirted as a member of SMU’s football team in 2011.
 
High School: Was a two-time all-district selection in football at Cinco Ranch…helped lead the Cougars to the 5A Division I semifinals as a junior.
 
Personal: Full name is Charlie Robert Waid…born July 28, 1993, in Katy, Texas…son of Bobby and Janet Waid…has one younger brother, Joey…majoring in business.
