Biography

2013 (Junior): Brown appeared in 48 games, making 20 starts at first base and eight at designated hitter…hit .270 with seven doubles, two home runs, 23 RBIs and 16 runs…recorded seven multiple-hit games…in four games during the Great West Conference Tournament, hit. 421 (8-for-19) with two home runs, two doubles, four RBIs and four runs…hit safely in the last five games of the season and drove in a run in each of the last six…went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs in the Huskies’ 13-3 victory over Northern Colorado in the championship game of the GWC Tournament (5/25)…had back-to-back three-hit games at NJIT, in the season finale and the opening game of the conference tournament.
 
2012 (Sophomore): Appeared in 52 games, making 48 starts at first base…hit .237 with 13 doubles, one home run, 30 RBIs and 27 runs…recorded nine multiple-hit and five multiple-RBI games…hit .337 with runners in scoring position, .309 with runners on base and a team best .571 (4-for-7) with the bases loaded…hit .722 (13-for-18) with a runner on third and less than two outs…went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs, including the game-winners in a 4-3 walkoff win over McNeese State (2/19)…went 3-for-6 with a double and three RBIs at Stephen F. Austin (2/25)…drove in a career-high six runs in an 11-5 win over Missouri State (2/26), going 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and three runs…went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs against Texas Southern (4/10)…went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run against Northern Colorado (5/25)…went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs in the Great West Conference Tournament championship game at Utah Valley (5/26).
 
Previous College: Hit .317 with a three doubles, a home run and 11 RBIs in 41 at-bats his freshman season at Galveston College for coach Gary Key…handled 52 defensive chances for the Whitecaps without an error…teammate of Huskies sophomore RHP Ryan Lower.
 
High School: Was a three-year letterwinner at La Porte High School for coach Ricky Torres…hit .367 for his career and was a second-team all-district and third-team all-Greater Houston selection for the Bulldogs.
