HOUSTON – The HBU Huskies turn the ball over four times as they drop their regular season finale, 55-14, to the UIW Cardinals Saturday afternoon at Husky Stadium.
Freshman quarterback
Orion Olivas completed 10 of 24 passes for 79 yards and four interceptions and a fumble for the Huskies (0-11, 0-8 SLC). Senior wide receiver
Lane Botkin led the Huskies in receiving, catching three passes for 40 yards. Senior running back
Ean Beek rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown and also added four grabs for 29 yards.
Freshman linebacker
Rodney Dansby led the Huskies on the defensive side of the ball with 18 tackles while sophomore safety
Isaiah Cash added 10 tackles. Senior linebacker

Philip Ossai combined for the Huskies only sack in the game. Sophomore safety
Corey Smooth led
For the Cardinals (9-2, 7-1 SLC) Cameron Ward completed 27 of 34 pass attempts for 314 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Robert Ferrel led the Cardinals in receiving, catching seven passes for 78 yards. Darion Chafin added four receptions for 48 yards and a pair of scores. Marcus Cooper rushed 11 times for 88 yards and a score. Kevin Brown had 12 rush attempts for 40 yards and two scores.
Defensively, the Cardinals forced five turnovers including a Moses Reynolds pick six in the first quarter. Darien Townsend led UIW in tackles with six including one for a loss.
The Cardinals totaled 501 yards of offense, including 170 with the running game while the Huskies had 198 total yards with 88 coming from the ground game. UIW earned 30 first downs while the Huskies had 10.

Orion Olivas led the Huskies in passing over the course of the season, completing 156 of 273 for 1383 yards with six touchdowns.
Xzavier Ford led HBU in rushing with 76 attempts for 263 yards and three scores. Beek added 165 yards on the ground over 39 attempts and a touchdown.

Fudge Woods all had one rushing touchdown.
Thompson had a team high 562 receiving yards on 57 receptions and two touchdowns.
Ismael Fuller had 30 receptions for 339 yards and three scores.
Charles King led the Huskies with five touchdown receptions spread across 26 receptions.
RJ Smith,
Jaylon Coleman and
Branden Walker each added a touchdown reception.
Defensively,
Rodney Dansby finished the season with 131 tackles, the third most in program history.
Kyler Baugh had a team high 3.5 sacks while
Segun Ijiyera had 2.5 sacks.

Carter Couch each added two sacks.
