2021: Young ranked third in the Southland and 14^th nationally with 9.9 tackles per game…recorded 99 tackles, including 9.5 TFLs, two sacks, three quarterback hurries, an interception, forced a fumble and blocked a field goal…posted double-digit tackles in six games…had a season-high 14 tackles against McNeese (11/13)…registered 11 tackles, two sacks, blocked a field goal and had a quarterback hurry against Northwestern State (10/9)…had six tackles, returned an interception 19 yards to set up a touchdown and forced a fumble at Nicholls (10/2)…was selected to the FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team…was named to the Southland All-Academic Team…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2020: Started all four games…ranked 11th in the FCS and third in the Southland Conference with 10.5 tackles per game…registered 42 tackles, forced a fumble and had a quarterback hurry…recorded eight tackles and forced a fumble at North Texas (9/5)…made 13 tackles (12 solo) and had a quarterback hurry at Texas Tech (9/26)…tied his season high with 13 tackles at Louisiana Tech (9/26)…made eight tackles at Eastern Kentucky (10/3)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

2019: Earned HERO Sports Sophomore All-America and Southland Conference All-Academic honors…started 11 games, before missing the final game with an injury…led the Southland Conference and ranked fifth nationally with 11.3 tackles per game…recorded 124 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions and four pass breakups…posted double-digit tackles seven times…registered 13 tackles and a sack at UTEP (8/31)…made eight tackles with two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup at South Dakota (9/14)…made nine tackles and returned two interceptions for 49 yards against Northwestern State (9/21) to earn Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors…became the second player in program history with two interceptions in one game…made 11 tackles, including three TFLs against Texas Southern (9/28)…posted 12 stops against UIW (10/5)…recorded 17 tackles at McNeese (10/19)…tied the school record with 19 tackles against Southeastern Louisiana (10/26)…had 11 tackles in each of his last two games, at #25 Nicholls (11/9) and against Lamar (11/16)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

2018: Appeared in nine games as a freshman, recording 55 tackles (27 solo), 8.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble…made a career-high 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks at Southeastern Louisiana (10/13)…posted 10 tackles against Stephen F. Austin (10/20) and 10 tackles, including four for losses, against Sam Houston State (11/17)…made nine tackles, two for losses, a sack and forced a fumble against Nicholls (11/3)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Was a three-year starter at Oak Ridge High School for coach Derrick Rush...as a senior, had 85 tackles, 14 for loss, two fumble recoveries and three touchdowns in eight games...played five games as a junior, making 48 tackles, including eight for loss...in nine games as a sophomore, made 57 tackles, nine for loss...was a three-time all-district selection and was Hitman of the Year as a senior...was a member of the National Honor Society and was a member of the track team.
