Biography

2022: Cash started, and appeared in, four of the first five games of the season before missing the final five six games of the season…averaged 9 tackles per game, totaling 36 in his four games…recorded 11 tackles on two occasions, at Northern Colorado (9/3) and vs. Lindenwood (9/10)…recorded a fumble recovery with a 21-yard return vs. Nicholls (10/8)…was credited with one sack, vs. Nicholls, for a five-yard loss…also recorded two pass breakups and one quarterback hurry.

2021: Cash started all 11 games as a redshirt freshman...ranked third on the team with 95 tackles and ranked fifth in the Southland Conference with 8.6 tackles per game…had three tackles for loss, two pass breakups, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble…recorded double-digit tackles five times…made a career-high 13 tackles and forced a fumble at Northwestern State (11/6)…made 11 tackles and recovered a fumble against Nicholls (10/23)…posted 12 stops in the season finale against UIW (11/20)…as a member of the track and field team, had an outdoor season-best mark of 7.40 meters (24-3.50).

2020: Played in all four games…made 24 tackles and an interception…recorded 10 tackles and returned an interception 15 yards at Texas Tech (9/12)…made eight tackles at Louisiana Tech (9/26)…as a member of the track and field team, captured the gold medal in the long jump at the Southland Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships with a program record mark of 7.44 meters (24-5)…also set the program record in the long jump outdoors with a mark of 7.45 (24-5.5).

High School: Was a three-year starter at Rouse High School for coach Joshua Man…as a senior, made 80 tackles, two sacks and scored two touchdowns to earn first-team all-district honors…made 25 tackles and an interception as a junior to earn all-district honorable mention and was named to the All-Super Sophomore Team…won the US junior nationals title and was also a regional finalist in the triple jump…his father, Kerry, and his uncle, Keith, each played at the University of Texas and in the NFL, and his mother, Kim Cameron, played soccer at UT.
