HUNTSVILLE, Texas - HBU makes its final road trip to league-leading Sam Houston State in a three-game Southland Conference series Friday through Sunday at Don Sanders Stadium. Friday's opener begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. first pitch Saturday and a 1 p.m. start in Sunday's finale.

Heck is hitting .364, is tied for the conference lead with nine home runs, nine doubles, four triples, 41 RBIs and 29 runs, but leads the league in the triple crown categories in league play, hitting .416 with seven home runs and 30 RBIs. Senior outfielder
Spencer Halloran is hitting .316 with eight home runs, 14 doubles, 33 RBIs and 35 runs, while junior centerfielder
Jonathan Ducoff is hitting .280 with seven home runs, 10 doubles, 16 RBIs and 22 runs. Senior shortstop
Tyler Depreta-Johnson has four home runs, nine doubles, 23 RBIs and is the only shortstop in the country with one error or fewer with at least 200 chances.

The Bearkats will likely start righthander Nick Mikolajchak (6-4, 3.84 ERA), lefthander Seth Ballew (5-1, 3.47 ERA) and righthander Hayden Wesneski (4-3, 3.64 ERA). Dakota Mills leads the Southalnd with 13 saves.

Clayton Harp is hitting .346 with four home runs, nine doubles, 23 RBIs and 30 runs, while Blake Chisolm is hitting .322 with seven home runs, 30 RBIs and 35 runs for SHSU. Hunter Hearn is hitting .308 with seven home runs, nine doubles, 33 RBIs and 33 runs, and Andrew Fregia is hitting .287 with eight home runs, seven doubles, five triples, 38 RBIs and 39 runs.

SHSU leads the all-time series against HBU, 32-10, but only 7-6 since the Huskies joined the Southland in 2014. HBU swept the three-game series in Houston last season.
