Box Score 2 HOUSTON – HBU Softball dropped a pair to Southland Conference foe Lamar Saturday afternoon at Husky Field. 
GAME ONE, 7-3
Sophomore 
Heidi Jaquez went 2-for-4 at the plate with one double and a run scored for the Huskies (3-14, 0-5 SLC). Senior 
Libby Brown singled, walked and had an RBI, while senior 
Kassie James drove in one off a double.
Freshman 
Jessica Patak (1-9 ,0-3 SLC) got the loss in the circle allowing six runs off four hits, five walks and one strikeout in 4.1 innings.
Shannon Klaus went 1-for-3 with a walk, and two runs scored. Taylor Davis singled, walked three times and scored once.
Laura Napoli earned the win for the Cardinals (14-12, 2-3 SLC) allowing only three runs off six hits, four walks and four strikeouts.
GAME TWO, 7-1
Jaquez hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the first, improving her batting average to .412 in conference play. Junior 
Demi Janak went 1-for-3 at the plate, while junior 
Alyssa De Los Santos went 1-for-2.
Senior 
Stephanie Buenrostro (0-5, 0-2 SLC) got the loss allowing three runs off two hits and one walk.
Taylor Davis scored and drove in two off of a double and a walk. Savana Guidry doubled and scored twice and Shelby Henderson also hit a double, drove in one and scored for the Cardinals.
Taylor Gruell earned the win holding the Huskies to one run off three hits, one walk, and had strikeouts.
The Huskies will conclude the three-game series Saturday with the first pitch set for 12 p.m.
