EDINBURG, Texas – HBU will square off against UT Rio Grande Valley to conclude a 13-game road stretch in non-conference baseball Tuesday at 6 p.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.
 
The Huskies (5-11) are led by senior third baseman/outfielder Spencer Halloran, who is hitting .299 with four doubles, a home run, five RBIs and nine runs. Junior outfielder Anthony Jones is hitting .286 with a pair of doubles, five RBIs and six runs and junior outfielder Jonathan Ducoff is hitting .271 with three doubles, a home run, two RBIs and six runs. Senior first baseman/catcher Jake Pulcheon leads HBU with 11 RBIs.
 
HBU is expected to send to mound senior righthander Marshall Herron (0-1, 4.76 ERA), who will be making his second start of the season.
 
Elijah Alexander  is hitting .365 with two doubles, a home run and seven RBIs and 10 runs for UTRGV (10-7), while Austin Siener is hitting .340 with three doubles, two home runs, 10 RBIs and 11 runs. Ivan Estrella is hitting .310 and leads the Vaqueros with 15 runs, while Tyler Torres has driven in a team-leading 11 runs.
 
The Vaqueros are likely to send lefthander Ben Butler (0-0, 0.00 ERA) to the hill for his first start.
 
The Huskies return home for their Southland Conference opening series against Nicholls Friday through Sunday at Husky Field. Friday's game begins at 2 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. first pitch Saturday at a 2 p.m. start Sunday.
