RUSTON, Louisiana – Louisiana Tech broke a tie in the bottom of the sixth, then added four more late for a 9-3 victory over HBU to sweep the non-conference series Sunday afternoon at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

Brady Batten each drove in runs for the Huskies (5-11). Batten (2-2) also took the loss, allowing two runs on two hits with a strikeout and three walks in relief. Junior righthander
Daniel Endsley gave up three runs on seven hits with a strikeout and a walk in three innings in the start.
Hunter Wells, Dalton Skelton, Mason Mallard, Chris Clayton and Taylor Young each had two hits for the Bulldogs (12-5). Skelton, Young and Parker Bates each drove in two runs, while Skelton and Tanner Huddleston scored twice.
Logan Bailey (2-1) picked up the win for La Tech, allowing three runs, one earned, on five hits with eight strikeouts and no walks in six innings. Kent Hasler held HBU scoreless on two hits with a pair of strikeouts over the final two innings to notch his third save of the year.
Batten delivered a two-out RBI single in the top of the first to give the Huskies the lead, but the Bulldogs answered with RBI singles by Clayton and Bates in the bottom half for a 2-1 lead.
Ducoff led off the second with a solo blast to right, his first of the season, to tie the game, but Mallard's RBI double put La Tech ahead, 3-2.
Halloran's RBI groundout in the fifth knotted the score again, but La Tech took the lead for good on Skelton's bases-loaded, two-run single in the sixth.
The Huskies return to action when they wrap up their 13-game road stretch against UT Rio Grande Valley Tuesday at 6 p.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium in Edinburg, Texas.
