CONWAY, Arkansas - HBU returns to league play looking to snap a five-game losing streak when it travels to face Central Arkansas in a three-game Southland Conference series Thursday through Saturday at Bears Stadium. Thursday's opener begins at 6 p.m., followed by a 4 p.m. start Friday and a 1 p.m. first pitch in the finale Saturday. The Legacy Sports Network audio broadcast with Russ Reneau begins with the pregame show 15 minutes prior to each first pitch and can be accessed on HBUHuskies.com and LSN.
 
Senior shortstop Louie Payetta and senior second baseman Greg Espinosa are each hitting .341, with Payetta tied for the team leads with six doubles and 13 RBIs and Espinosa leading the Huskies (10-11, 2-1 SLC) with 14 runs to go along with five doubles, a triple and 11 RBIs. Junior rightfielder Brandon Brintz is hitting .309 with four triples, a home run, is tied for the team lead with 13 RBIs and has scored 12 runs. Senior designated hitter Austin Saenz has reached safely in the last seven games and is hitting .284 with five doubles, a triple, 10 RBIs and eight runs.
 
HBU plans to send junior righthanders Addison Russ (3-1, 1.95 ERA) and Julian Griego (3-1, 4.78 ERA) and junior lefhander Christian Thames (0-3, 4.76 ERA) to the hill.
 
UCA (9-10, 3-3) is led by Logan Preston, who is hitting .361 with three doubles, 15 RBIs and 10 and Tyler Langley, who is hitting .301 with five doubles, a triple, two home runs, 12 RBIs and 14 runs. Justin McCarty is tied for the Bears' team lead with two home runs and 15 RBIs.
 
The Bears will likely send righthanders Connor Gilmore (1-3, 4.61 ERA) and Cody Davenport (2-0, 2.27 ERA) and either righty Hunter Neal (0-2, 4.82 ERA) or lefty Chris Durham (2-1, 4.76 ERA) to the mound.
 
HBU won all five meetings against UCA last season, including a pair of victories over the Bears en route to the Southland Conference Tournament championship. The Huskies lead the all-time series, 5-0, with the three regular-season meetings in Houston and the two postseason games in Sugar Land.
 
The series concludes an 11-game road swing, with the Huskies returning to host Prairie View A&M Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Husky Field in the first of a four-game homestand.
