Game Notes HOUSTON - HBU will host league-leading Southeastern Louisiana in a three-game Southland Conference series Friday through Sunday at Husky Field. The Huskies (21-17, 12-6 SLC) trail the Lions (30-12, 14-4) by two games in the standings with 12 games remaining.
HBU is led by senior centerfielder
Zach Nehrir, who leads the league with a .366 batting average, ranks third with 32 RBIs and has seven doubles, five triples and three home runs and is on an eight-game hitting streak. Junior shortstop
Louie Payetta is hitting .320, .384 in conference play, with six doubles, three home runs and 24 RBIs, while senior catcher
Samm Wiggins is hitting .313 with a team-leading 16 extra-base hits (12 doubles, four home runs) and 21 RBIs. Junior second baseman
Greg Espinosa is tied for second among the toughest players in the country to strike out at one per every 22.8 at-bats and he has hit safely in each of his last seven games.

Taylor Wright (4-4, 2.77) -- have sub-3.00 ERAs and the Huskies rank second in the Southland with a team ERA of 3.07.
The Lions are hitting .301 as a team, led by Jacob Seward at .355 with 24 RBIs, Kevin Carr at .340 with 11 doubles and 24 RBIs and Daniel Midyett at .333 with seven doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 36 RBIs. Ryan Byers is hitting .302 with 33 RBIs and Brett Hoffman is hitting .322 with 29 driven in.
SELA will send Jake Johnson (7-1, 3.27), Kyle Cedotal (5-2 ,1.75) and Tate Scioneaux (5-2, 3.82) to the mound.
