2014 (Junior): Wright appeared in and started 13 games on the mound, going 2-9 with a 5.71 ERA with 34 strikeouts and 22 walks in 75.2 innings...won his first start and struck out a season-high seven against Prairie View A&M (2/15)…allowed two earned runs in 7.0 innings to pick up the win against Northeastern (2/22)…allowed three runs and struck out four in 7.0 innings at Nicholls (3/14)…did not allow an earned run and struck out five in 7.1 innings against New Orleans (3/21)…went eight innings and struck out four at Oral Roberts (4/17)…allowed one earned run on five hits in 8.0 innings against Sam Houston State (5/9)…did not get the decision, but allowed two earned runs on six hits in 7.0 innings of a 6-5 win over Stephen F. Austin (5/15).
 
Previous School: Played for Tallahassee Community College under Coach Mac…had a record of 6-1 with a 2.44 ERA…led his team to a conference title, starting the championship game.
 
High School: Was a two-year letterwinner at Ellison High School…had a record of 7-3…was named Second Team All-District…had 1.92 ERA and 74 strikeouts…named the team’s pitcher of the year.
 
Personal: Full name is Taylor Andrew Wright…born Nov. 23, 1992, in Stephens County, Ga. …son of Kevin and Carrie Wright…has one brother, Parker, and three sisters, Whitney, Katie and Paisley…majoring in marketing.
