2014 (Junior): Nehrir started all 51 games in centerfield, one of four Huskies to start every game...had 13 multiple-hit and six multiple-RBI games…hit .249 with nine doubles, a tripe, 23 RBIs, 23 runs and eight stolen bases…hit safely in his first 10 games as a Husky…went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs against Prairie View A&M (2/15)…went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run against Prairie View A&M (2/16)…had another 10-game hitting streak from March 30 to April 15…drove in three at Southeastern Louisiana (3/30)…went 3-for-4 at Oral Roberts (4/18)…went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run against UTSA (4/22)…went 3-for-6 with an RBI and scored twice at Lamar (5/4).
 
Previous School: Played for Orange Coast College under Coach John Altobelli…had a .318 batting average, five doubles, two triples, one home run, 21 RBIs, 21 runs and two stolen bases his sophomore year…was named first team all-conference his sophomore year…played club ball for the Yankees under Coach Dave Keith. 
 
High School: Was a three-year letter winner for Coach Josh Kliner at El Modena High School…as a senior, batted .330 with four doubles, two triples, one home run, 12 RBIs, 21 runs and 10 stolen bases… had a .270 batting average, three doubles, one triple, one home run, 12 RBIs, 13 runs and 10 stolen bases his junior year…posted a .308 batting average, a double, 10 RBIs, two stolen bases, four runs his sophomore year…was named Scholar Athlete his senior year, along with earning a Gold Glove and being named to the First-Team Academic All-League.
 
Personal: Full name is Zachary James Nehrir…born Jan. 28, 1993 in Orange, Calif. …son of Shawn Nehrir and Colleen Kavanagh…has one older brother, Nick, and one younger brother, Cole…majoring in interdisciplinary studies with a focus in kinesiology.
