2015 (Junior): Payetta has been selected to the 2016 Preseason All-Southland Conference Team...was named to the 2015 All-Southland Conference third team…started all 55 games at shortstop…hit .306 with 10 doubles, three home runs, 27 RBIs and 25 runs…recorded 23 multi-hit games…went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs in the season-opener against Prairie View A&M (2/13)…also doubled and drove in a pair of runs against the Panthers (2/14)…went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and three runs in the series finale against Prairie View A&M (2/15)…went 3-for-4 with a run in a 3-1 victory over Michigan State (2/20)…drove in three runs against Central Arkansas (3/20)…went 2-for-5, hit his first career home run a drove in a career-high four runs against Incarnate Word (3/29)…in a three-game series sweep at Stephen F. Austin, went 8-for-12 (.750) with two home runs, six RBIs and five runs…went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBIs and two runs in the series opener at Stephen F. Austin (4/10)…went 3-for-4 in the second game (4/10), then went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs in the series finale (4/11)…went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs against Sam Houston State (5/8)…went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in the Huskies’ 6-0 victory over Sam Houston State in the championship game of the Southland  Conference Tournament…went 2-for-4 with a double and a run against No. 13 Houston in the NCAA Houston Regional (5/29).
 
Previous School: Played his freshman season at Fresno State, appearing in 27 games, including seven starts...hit .194 with six hits and nine RBIs, while posting a .971 fielding percentage...hit a home run against San Diego State...as a sophomore at Saddleback College, appeared in 37 games, hitting .272 with six doubles, four triples, 25 RBIs, 23 runs and five stolen bases.
 
High School: Was a two-year letterwinner at Huntington Beach High School for Coach Benji Medure...was named team captain...earned a spot in the Sunset League All-Star Game.
 
Personal: Full name is Louie Michael Payetta...born May 16, 1994, in Huntington Beach, California...son of Jeff and Carol Payetta...has one brother, Jeff, and one sister, Callie...sister, Callie, plays in the Women’s Premier Soccer League for the Houston Aces...majoring in kinesiology.
