HOUSTON – Stephen F. Austin scored four runs in the third, then five in the eighth as the Lumberjacks downed HBU, 10-3, to even the Southland Conference series at a game apiece Friday afternoon at Husky Field.

Zach Nehrir wnet 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, while senior leftfielder
Jordan McCoy went 2-for-5 with a run for the Huskies (23-27, 12-17 SLC). Junior pitcher
Curtis Jones went 2-for-5.
Kyle Thornell went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, while his brother, Brett, went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run for the Lumberjacks (19-35, 10-19). Nick Ramos went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, three RBIs and a run, while Zach Marberry went 2-for-4 with a double, and RBI and scored twice. Dan O'Neill also scored twice, and Gevon Jackson was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI.
Kevin Bishop (2-7) went the distance for the first time in his career to earn the victory for SFA, allowing three runs on 10 hits with six strikeouts and three walks. Jones (4-5) gave up five runs, four earned, on six hits in three innings for HBU.
