2013 (Junior): Lower made 14 appearances on the mound, including 13 starts, and earned First-Team All-Great West Conference honors…went 8-4 with a team-leading 2.69 ERA, three complete games, two shutouts, 57 strikeouts and a .238 opponents batting average in 87.0 innings…in seven conference starts, went 5-0 with a 0.91 ERA, three complete games, two shutouts, 32 strikeouts and a .183 opponents batting average…won his last five starts, allowed one earned run or fewer in seven-straight starts from April 6-May 16, and struck out at least five in eight appearances…picked up the win, striking out five, in the Huskies’ first-round victory over NJIT (5/21) in the Great West Conference Tournament…allowed one run on five hits and struck out five in a win at NJIT (5/16)…tossed back-to-back shutouts against NYIT (5/3), striking out a season-high nine, and at Chicago State (5/10), striking out five…gave up one earned run and struck out five in seven innings for a win over Northern Colorado (4/26)…notched his first victory of the season, allowing one run on four hits and striking out six against Bryant (2/23).
 
2012 (Sophomore): Made 12 appearances on the mound, including 10 starts…went 2-3 with a 4.90 ERA, a team-leading 53 strikeouts and 33 walks in 60.2 innings…allowed one run on five hits and struck out a career-high 11 in seven innings against Chicago State (4/6) to notch his first victory at HBU…allowed two runs on three hits and struck out six in six innings for a win over North Dakota (5/12) in the first game of a doubleheader…took a no-decision, despite shutting out Texas-Pan American (5/18) on four hits and striking out four in nine innings – the Huskies went on to win 4-2 in 12 innings.
 
Previous College: Made 13 appearances his freshman season at Galveston College for coach Gary Key…had an 2-3 record with a 6.08 ERA, striking out 25 in 37.0 innings for the Whitecaps…teammate of Huskies sophomore C/IF Bradley Brown.
 
High School: Was a two-year letterwinner for coach Michael McCollum at Cypress Creek High School…was a first-team all-district selection for the Cougars, posting a 1.01 ERA and .283 batting average.
 
Personal: Full name is Ryan Paul Lower...he and his wife, Leah, were married on Sept. 1, 2013…born Jan. 7, 1992, in Indianapolis...son of Paul Lower and Lori Morris...majoring in international business.
