Jessica Wooten had a match high of 16 kills and an attack percentage of .344, but the Huskies lost to UNC-Wilmington, 3-1 (25-15, 16-25, 15-25, 23-25), Friday afternoon at the US Century Bank Arena.

Christi Laite had a total of 15 kills for the Seahawks, while Morgan Kline added 11 kills. Victoria Phillips had 30 assists for UNC-Wilmington. Haley Collins recorded 20 digs.
The Seahawks outhit the Huskies .158 to .129. However, HBU tied with UNCW with 53 digs. The Seahawks also outblocked the Huskies 12-5.
The Huskies scored six straight points to take an early lead of 8-2 in the first set, then a five point run put HBU ahead 13-3. The Huskies cruised to a 25-15 victory. Wooten had four kills within the set.
The Seahawks took an early lead of 7-3 in the second set. However, the Huskies scored three straight points to trail by one. UNCW outscored the Huskies 16-7 to take a 10 point lead, then won the set 25-16.
The Huskies led the third set 5-4, but the Seahawks managed to score three straight points, putting the score at 7-5. UNCW led by as many as nine at 20-11, then went on to a 25-16 win.
In the final set, the Huskies took a lead with a score of 12-8, but the Seahawks had a five point run to put them ahead by one. HBU battled and never trailed by more than two, but UNCW held the Huskies off for a 25-23 victory.
The Huskies return to action when they travel to face Prairie View A&M Tueday at 7 p.m. in Prairie View, Texas.
