HOUSTON – After going 1-1-0 last weekend at the Montana Cup, the HBU women's soccer team returns home to host a pair of Conference USA teams in UTEP and the University of Houston. The Huskies and Miners will square off on Friday, while HBU and UH will face off on Sunday, with both matches starting at 7 pm from Sorrels Field.

HBU is looking for its first-ever win against UTEP, as the Miners own a 3-0-0 all-time record over the Huskies. The last time these two teams met was in 2011, when UTEP defeated HBU, 4-0, in El Paso.

HBU is 1-3-0 lifetime against Houston, as the Cougars defeated the Huskies on their home soil last season, 3-2. Molly Missimer and Taylor Gibson scored goals in that match, with Amina Radoncic and Arielle Rodriguez earning assists.

HBU (1-4-0) has played in five straight one-goal matches. Natalie Hager's first goal of the season proved to be all the scoring the Huskies needed, as they defeated Utah Valley 1-0 on Sept. 7 to conclude the Montana Cup. Stephanie Castellon earned the program's first Southland Conference weekly award, as she was named Co-Goalkeeper of the Week. She made 17 saves over the two matches, including 10 against the Wolverines. She finished the weekend with a 0.50 goals-against average and a .944 save percentage, while recording her third-career shutout. On the season, Castellon is 1-2-0 with a 1.14 GAA and a .871 save percentage.

Rebekah Tovar leads HBU with two goals and four points, while Hager has two points and Gibson has one.

UTEP (3-2-1) went 1-1-0 last weekend in hosting its Border Shootout, defeating UC Riverside 2-0 on Sept. 6, and losing to Stephen F. Austin 2-1 in double overtime. Jade Babcock scored both goals against UCR and Azia Nicholson scored against SFA.

Babcock leads the Miners with three goals and seven points, while Nicholson has two goals, two assists and six points. Babcock has 19 shots and 11 shots on goal in six matches.

Sarah Dilling has played the majority of time in net and has a 3-2-0 record, a 0.96 GAA, a .800 save percentage, and one shutout.

Houston (1-2-2) went to overtime in two matches over on the west coast last weekend, losing in overtime at Cal State Northridge 2-1, then tying San Diego State 0-0. Kayla Walker scored for the Cougars against Northridge. UH has gone to overtime in three straight matches.

Walker leads the Cougars with two goals and four points, while Kylie Cook and Jasmine Martinez each have two points.

Cami Koski has seen more time in goal for UH and has a 0-1-2 record, a 0.48 GAA, a .952 save percentage, and  two shutouts.
