2015 Honorable Mention All-Southland

2015 (Senior): Tovar was one of five Huskies to start all 17 matches...a team captain, she logged 1,248 minutes and had two goals and four points...Tovar also had 24 shots with nine of them being on goal, and one corner kick...she scored the game-winning goal against McNeese State (10/23)...named Honorable Mention All-Conference.

2014 (Junior): Appeared in 22 matches with 21 starts…had two goals and a team-best five assists for nine points…scored the game winner against Abilene Christian (9/21) and at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (10/26)…had assists in back-to-back games against Incarnate Word (10/12) and at Central Arkansas (10/19)…played in 1571 minutes, as she played in 90 or more minutes five times...named to SLC Fall Honor Roll.

2013 (Sophomore): One of six Huskies to start all 19 matches...led team with four goals and 10 points...also had two assists...had a three-point match (1g, 1a) at Incarnate Word (10/13)...also scored goals at Tulsa (8/23), vs. TCU (9/1), and vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (10/27)...had a helper against Northwestern State (9/27)...tied for first on the team with two game-winning goals (UIW and TAMUCC)....went 1-for-1 on penalty kicks...connected on 55 percent of her shots (17-of-31)...played in 1435 minutes, as she played in all 90 minutes at Incarnate Word (10/13).

2012 (Freshman): Played in all 20 matches with one start...scored two goals and added one assist for five points...had 24 shots and eight shots on goal...scored goals at Northwestern State (9/7) and Texas Southern (9/28), while her lone assist came at Southeastern Louisiana (9/21)...played in 1183 minutes, playing in all 90 minutes at Houston (8/19).

High School: Three-time All-District honoree and earned All-Area Team honors once...named First Team All-District as both a sophomore and junior and Second Team All-District as a freshman...named All-Area Team Midfielder as a sophomore...named Paschal Panther Player of the Year in 2009...National Honor society honoree in 2011 and 2012...earned the FWISD Art Show Architecture Artistic Merit at Paschal High School in 2010...was the Radio Shack Scholar Academic Excellence recipient in 2010...member of the Paschal Academic Society in 2009 and 2010...earned the FWISD Academic Letter Sweatshirt in 2010, with a GPA higher than 3.8...earned the 2012 Royal Purple - Paschal Excellence Award, as voted on by the Paschal teachers...played club for the Fort Worth Futbol Club.

Personal: Full name is Rebekah Rae Tovar...majoring in kinesiology: wellness management...born on Oct. 11, 1993, in Fort Worth, Texas...daughter of Raymond and JoAnn Tovar...has one brother, Andrew, and one sister, Sarah, who is a TCU graduate...cousin Christina Ortiz Carmichael played volleyball at Tarleton State University, cousin Mychal Ortiz played basketball at Lamar University, and her uncle David Ortiz played basketball at East Texas State University...enjoys sketching/art work.
