DALLAS, Texas – The HCU women's soccer team heads north up I-45 for a Sunday evening matchup against the SMU Mustangs for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff at Washburne Soccer and Track Stadium.
 
The Huskies (1-2-1) and Mustangs (3-1-1) faced each other in Dallas last year with the hosts taking a 3-0 win.
 
HCU lost this past Thursday despite out-shooting visiting Louisiana Tech, whose goalkeeper made 12 saves to keep the Huskies off the board as the Bulldogs snuck one into the HCU goal while putting just two shots on target all game.
 
Paisley Barela and Olivia Rossman are still looking for their first goals of the season with both tied for the team lead with five shots on goal. The duo has combined to put 10 of their 14 shots on target. In goal, Emmy McKeon owns a 1.26 goals against average with a .792 save percentage.
 
The Mustangs, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last four matches with wins over North Texas, UIW and Southern while drawing with Boise State. Redshirt freshman Brooke Bunton leads SMU with three goals so far this year.
 
HCU will be on the road again next Thursday, Sept. 3, with a trip to Louisiana to face Grambling at 5:00 p.m.
