Carpenter on HCU:

"I chose HCU for school is because it felt like home as soon as I got on campus. And I feel like a can make a major impact on both ends of the floor right away."

Cottrell on Carpenter:

"We feel so fortunate add such a high-quality person and player this late in the recruiting cycle.

We knew we needed another ball-handling point guard on this roster and we got one who can do that and more. He led his team at North Platte in scoring and assists and was second on the team in rebounding.

Bruce does things on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor that impact winning. He will make immediate and profound contributions on this team both on and off the floor, and is the kind of person that you want to root for because he is a hard worker and a great person.

We are more than excited to have Bruce Carpenter join us at HCU."

NOTE:

Carpenter becomes the sixth member of the 2023-24 signing class for Cottrell.
