HOUSTON - HBU will play a pair of midweek games on the road, facing Houston Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Schroeder Park, followed by Lamar Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Vincent-Beck Stadium. Both games will be shown on ESPN+.
 
Sophomore catcher Parker Edwards is hitting .318 with six home runs, eight doubles, 21 RBIs and 14 runs, while junior first baseman Brennen Bales is hitting .304 with seven doubles, 15 RBIs and 12 runs for the Huskies (13-23). Junior catcher Kevin Ortiz is batting .419 with three doubles, eight RBIs and 10 runs and junior centerfielder Austin Roccaforte is hitting .276 with five doubles, two triples, 16 RBIs, 23 runs and leads the Southland Conference with 30 walks for a .445 on-base percentage.
 
Junior righthander Thomas King (0-2, 9.82 ERA) will start on Tuesday and junior righthander Will Ripoll (1-4, 7.38 ERA) will start on Wednesday.
 
Anthony Tulimero is batting .375 with nine doubles, a home run, 19 RBIs and 24 runs, while Brandon Uhse is hitting .312 with eight home runs, 13 doubles, 35 RBIs and 34 runs for the Cougars (23-13). Ryan Hernandez is hitting .300 with five home runs, 10 doubles, 26 RBIs and 19 runs and Zach Arnold is hitting .281 with six home runs, eight doubles, 27 RBIs and 32 runs.
 
Josh Blankenship is hitting .342 with eight doubles, a triple, a home run, 32 RBIs and 21 runs, while Matthew McDonald is hitting .325 with 11 doubles, a triple, two home runs, 21 RBIs and 22 runs for the Cardinals (22-13). Kelby Weyler is batting .321 with five doubles, a triple, 24 RBIs and 21 and Chase Kemp is hitting .313 with 10 doubles, four home runs, 25 RBIs and 35 runs.
 
The Huskies return to Southland Conference play and wrap up an eight-game road stretch with a three-game series against Northwestern State Friday through Sunday in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
