2021: Bales played in 48 games, including 46 starts in the field and also made eight appearances on the mound…led the Huskies with a .356 batting average with eight doubles, two home runs, two triples, 22 RBIs and 23 runs…did not record a decision with a 6.75 ERA, nine strikeouts and eight walks in 6.2 innings…went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs in a win over Louisiana (3/7)…went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs in a win at Nicholls (3/26)…went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple, an RBI and a run against Lamar (4/1)…went 3-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and two runs against Northwestern State (4/16)…went 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run against Central Arkansas (5/14)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

Prior to HBU: Bales played two seasons, 2018 and 2020, at Northeast Community College, redshirting the 2019 season…as a freshman in 2018, played in 55 games, hitting .341 with nine home runs, 11 doubles, a triple, 49 RBIs and 33 runs…also made 16 appearances on the mound, going 1-2 with five saves, a 6.75 ERA, 23 strikeouts and 15 walks in 28.0 innings…earned ICCAC All-Region honorable mention…as a sophomore in 2020, played in 18 games, hitting .345 with five home runs, four doubles, 15 RBIs and 14 runs…also made three appearances on the mound, allowing one run on three hits and striking out four in three appearances covering 3.0 innings.

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner at Nebraska City High School…as a senior, hit .500 with five home runs, four doubles, two triples, 17 RBIs, posting a .563 on-base percentage and .883 slugging percentage…on the mound, went 9-1 with a 1.47 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 71.1 innings…named All-State and Second Team Super State…named All-State as a junior and all-state honorable mention and All-EMC as a freshman and sophomore…also lettered in football and basketball…was a member of the National Honor Society, Honor Roll and was named Academic All-State.
