BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M took a 3-0 lead through five, but HBU scored single runs in the sixth and seventh, before falling 3-2 in non-conference baseball Tuesday night at Blue Bell Park.

Brennen Bales went 2-for-4 with two doubles with a run for the Huskies (2-7). Junior catcher
Tyler LaRue went 1-for-3 with a double and a run and junior leftfielder
Connor Fremin was 2-for-3. Junior rightfielder
Logan Letney extended his hitting streak to five games, going 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI and senior centerfielder
Lane Botkin drove in the other run.
Junior righthander
Will Ripoll held TAMU scoreless in three innings, allowing one hit with two strikeouts and a walk. Senior lefthander
Austin Spinney (0-1) took the loss, giving up three runs on four hits with two strikeouts in 1.2 innings. Junior righthander
Chad Ricker finished the game, allowing just one hit and striking out three over the final two innings.
Kole Kaler went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and scored a run for the Aggies (6-2). Jack Moss was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and Brett Minnich had a solo home run.
Khristian Curtis (2-0) tossed five shutout innings for TAMU, allowing two hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Brad Rudis earned the save, allowing one hit and striking out four over the final 1.2 innings.
The Aggies took a 1-0 lead on Minnich's fourth inning blast to right, his second of the season. Moss put TAMU ahead 3-0 with a two-run double in the fifth.
Bales doubled down the leftfield line, then scored on Letney's RBI groundout in the sixth. LaRue led off the seventh with a double and scored on Botkin's sacrifice fly to cut the deficit to one.
Letney doubled to rightcenter with two outs in the eighth, but pinch runner senior
Christian Dumont was stranded. In the ninth, Botkin flied out deep to right to end the game.
The Huskies return to action when they face 23
rd-ranked Sacramento State in a four-game series Friday through Sunday in Sacramento, California.
