HOUSTON - After 15-straight road games to open the season, HBU will host McNeese in a four-game Southland Conference baseball series Friday through Sunday at Husky Field. Friday's opener starts at 2 p.m., followed by an 11 a.m. doubleheader Saturday and a 2 p.m. first pitch Sunday. All four games will be shown live on the Husky Sports Network with Russ Reneau.
 
Junior infielder Jake Miller is hitting .333 with four doubles, an RBI and eight runs for the Huskies (2-13, 0-4 SLC), while junior first baseman Brennen Bales is hitting .265 with two doubles, five RBIs and two runs. Junior designated hitter Todd Jackson hit .700, senior rightfielder Brandon Bena hit .313 with a home run and scored three times and senior catcher Matt Solomon hit .333 with a home run and drove in four runs in last weekend's series at New Orleans.
 
HBU will likely start sophomore righthander Tyler Zarella, senior righthander Jacob Coats, junior lefthander Austin Spinney and sophomore righthander Daxton Tinker.
 
Clayton Rasbeary is hitting .417 with seven doubles, two home runs, two triples, 13 RBIs and 15 runs for McNeese (9-6, 3-0), while Tre Obregon is hitting .408 with three doubles, seven RBIs and five runs. Payton Harden is hitting .356 with five doubles, two triples, seven RBIs and 16 runs and Nate Fisbeck is hitting .333 with eight doubles, a home run, a triple, 13 RBIs and 12 runs.
 
The Cowboys are expected to start righthander Christian Vega, lefthander Will Dion and righthander Ty Abraham, with Sunday's starter to be determined.
 
The Huskies hit the road again to face Nicholls next weekend in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
