The Huskies host their final non-conference home game against Grand Canyon University Friday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m in Sharp Gym.
HBU (3-2) comes into Friday on a three-game winning streak led by sophomores Timia Jefferson and N'Denasija Collins. Collins adds 10 points and six rebounds per game, while totaling 10 steals. Jefferson leads the team in points per game with 11.2. Sophomore Kennedy Wilson stands just behind with 8.4 points per game and leads the team in assist totals with 20. Junior Marilyn Nzoiwu leads the team averaging 7.2 rebounds per game.
GCU (5-1) is currently led by Katie Scott with 18.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Taylor Caldwell follows just behind with 11.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while also leading the team with 27 assists. Tiarra Brown rounds up the leaders with 8.8 points and 5 rebounds per game also totaling three blocks and nine steals. The Antelopes come off an 84-78 win to Eastern Washington and have just two more games following Friday until they begin conference play.
HBU will travel to play their final non-conference matchup against Prairie View A&M University in the William Nicks Building, Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m.
