HOUSTON – HBU women's golf has signed Lou Rousselot to a National Letter of Intent, head coach
David Shuster announced Thursday.
Rousselot is 5-foot-7 from Le Plan de la Tour near the coast in southeast France, between Marseilles and Nice. She is currently ranked 46
th among junior players in France and has been ranked as high as 941 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
In her most recent event at the end of October, she tied for second at the Championnat de France Cadets, shooting 1-over par 145 with rounds of 74 and 71 to finish two strokes back. At the Grand Prix de Valgarde in August, Rousselot finished fourth, firing rounds of 68, 74 and 69 to finish 5-under par.
In 2019, Rousselot competed once in the U.S., at the Dixie Amateur in Tamarac, Florida, where she carded rounds of 78, 74, 78 and 71. Earlier in the year, she tied for ninth at the Championnat de France – Coupe Gaveau, and shot the lowest score of the tournament with a 70 in the first round. Rousselot won the Grand Prix du Cap d'Agde in March 2019 by two strokes, shooting 77, 74 and 76. She posted another Top 10 at the Grand Prix De Saint Donat in February 2019, where she tied for seventh, recording scores of 75, 79 and 75.
Rousselot will join the Huskies next fall to compete in the 2021-22 season.
