HOUSTON - HBU returns home to face Central Arkansas in a three-game Southland Conference series Friday through Sunday at Husky Field. The Husky Sports Network video broadcasts with Russ Reneau will be available on youtube.com/hbuhuskies.
 
Junior rightfielder Brandon Bena is hitting .317 with 10 doubles, three home runs, 28 RBIs and 28 runs for the Huskies (13-27, 6-12 SLC), while junior leftfielder Ryne Edmondson has reached safely in 21-straight games and is hitting .302 with five doubles, a home run, 13 RBIs and 19 runs. Senior catcher Erik Voller is batting .294 with nine doubles, two home runs, 19 RBIs and 22 runs and junior first baseman Johnny Gonzales is hitting .276 with nine doubles, three triples, five home runs, 23 RBIs and 26 runs.
 
HBU is expected to send senior righthanders Zach Carter and Brady Batten and junior righthander Kyle Gruller to the mound. Senior closer JT Newton leads the Huskies with five saves and ranks second all-time at HBU with 16 for his career.
 
Josh Ragan is hitting .317 with 11 doubles, a triple, four home runs, 28 RBIs and 30 runs, while Marco Navarro is hitting .299 with four doubles, three home runs, 24 RBIs and 25 runs for the Bears (21-20, 11-7). Joshmar Doran bats .277 with three doubles, 10 RBIs and 14 runs and Tyler Smith is hitting .273 with 11 doubles, three home runs, 25 RBIs and 23 runs.
 
UCA is likely to start righthander Cody Davenport and lefthanders Noah Cameron and Brad Verel.
 
The Huskies lead the all-time series against the Bears, 10-7, with the two teams meeting five times in 2015 and six times in 2017. HBU took two-of-three from UCA on the road in Conway last year.
 
HBU will play its final non-conference game of the season when it hosts Texas Southern Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Husky Field, then the Huskies will not be home again until the final series of the year against McNeese May 16-18.
