SAN ANTONIO - HBU continues its road trip against Incarnate Word with a three-game Southland Conference series Thursday through Saturday at Sullivan Field. The Husky Sports Network audio broadcasts with Russ Reneau will be available on HBUHuskies.com.
 
Junior rightfielder Brandon Bena has a 16-game hitting streak and is leading the Huskies (12-24, 5-10 SLC), hitting .320 with 10 doubles, two home runs, 25 RBIs and 24 runs, while junior first baseman Johnny Gonzales is hitting .282 with four home runs, nine doubles, three triples, 21 RBIs and 23 runs. Junior leftfielder Ryne Edmondson is hitting .293 with four doubles, a home run, 12 RBIs and 15 runs and senior catcher Erik Voller is hitting .274 with eight doubles, two home runs, 18 RBIs and 18 runs. Junior centerfielder Chase Talbot is tied for the team lead with four homers, has driven in 19 and scored 19 runs, while junior infielder Trent Franson leads the team with 28 runs.
 
HBU will likely start senior righthanders Zach Carter and Brady Batten and junior righthander Kyle Gruller. Senior closer JT Newton has four saves and is tied for second all-time at HBU with 15 saves.
 
Ryan Flores is hitting ..345 with 11 doubles, six home runs, a triple, 24 RBIs and 21 runs, while Sean Arnold is hitting .324 with eight doubles, three triples, two home runs, 20 RBIs and 29 runs for the Cardinals (23-13, 11-7). Taylor Smith is hitting .320 with 10 doubles, nine home runs, 35 RBIs and 33 runs and Ryan Gonzalez is hitting .318 with nine doubles, two triples, three homers, 25 RBIs and 27 runs.
 
UIW is expected to start righthanders Luke Taggart, Tyler Perez and Cody Allen. Mostly used out of the bullpen, Bernie Martinez is 7-0 with five saves.
 
The Huskies wrap up their five-game road swing against UTSA Tuesday at 6 p.m. in San Antonio. There will be no Husky Sports Network broadcast for that contest.
