Greg Espinosa is hitting .313 with five doubles, a triple, 11 RBIs and leads the team with 16 runs. Junior rightfielder
Brandon Brintz is hitting .295 with a double, four triples, a home run, is tied with Payetta for the team lead with 14 RBIs and has scored 15 runs.
HBU will send junior righthanders
Addison Russ (3-2, 2.51 ERA) and
Julian Griego (3-1, 5.11 ERA) and junior lefthander
Christian Thames (1-3, 3.98 ERA) to the mound. Senior closer
Dylan Zarosky has recorded six saves this season and is tied for the Huskies' all-time lead with 15, while redshirt freshman
Zach Carter has allowed only one earned run over his last nine innings.
Brance Kahle is hitting .306 with four doubles, a triple and 15 RBIs for UIW (6-19, 1-5), while Christian Divelbiss has four double, a triple, two home runs and 15 RBIs.
The Cardinals will likely send righthanders Bernie Martinez (0-4, 6.75 ERA) and John Shull (0-2, 4.50 ERA) to the hill, while Sunday's starter has not been determined.
HBU leads the all-time series against UIW, 28-24, but last season's series, in which the Huskies won two-of-three, was the first meeting as SLC rivals and the first meeting overall since 2004.
