Ericka Rodriguez and
Tambrisha Banks, who competed against each other in last year's 5A girls' 4x100 at the Texas state meet, put the Huskies in good shape on the opening two carries before sophomores
Jazmine Warden and
Imani Carr closed it out. Warden ran the second leg on the 4x400, where she joined with
Ashley Johnson, freshman Gbemi Orundami and
Kierstin Santana to clock 3:49.66 and take 33rd overall. Orundami had the fastest split of the day at 56.1.

Jordan Claypool,
D'Anthony Graham and
David Hicks got the stick around. Claypool ran the lead leg on the 4x400, handing off to Hicks before freshman
Cody Hammonds ran the third leg. Hammonds passed to Christian, who split 48.8 to stop the clock at 3:16.77 in 33rd place.
