ResultsPALM DESERT, Calif. – The HBU men's golf finished the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in 13
th place following the final round of the three-day tournament.
Junior
Isaiah Huerta fired a 1-over par-73 after shooting one birdie and parring 16 holes. Huerta rose 10 spots to finish with a tie in 34
th place at 222. Junior
Parker Rodgers shot a 75 in the final round and tied for 38
th, only one stroke behind Huerta. Rodgers shot a total of eight birdies to lead Huskies in that stat category. Senior
Preston Stanley scored a round three of 77, tying for 68
th place with 228. Stanley shot seven birdies and 30 holes of par during the weekend. Freshman
Raul Hernandez also shot seven birdies tournament, one of them being in round three where he finished with a score of 82. Hernandez tied for 99
th with 234. Senior
Trey Cassity fired three birdies in round three, scoring 75 to place 118
th at 238.
TCU finished in first place with 9-under par-855. Texas Tech fell to second, just one stroke behind TCU. Denver ended the tournament in third place with 857. Kansas State finished in fourth at 873 while Oregon placed fifth with 878.
Texas Tech's Clement Sordet kept first place with 11-under par-205. TCU's Paul Barjon remained in second with 209. Denver's Petter Mikalsen and Chris Korte finished third and fourth with scores of 211 and 212, respectively. TCU's Chelso Barrett and Kansas State's Seth Smith tied for fifth place at 213.
The Huskies return to competition March 13-14 in Laredo, Texas.
