DES MOINES, Iowa – Houston Christian men's golf wrapped up the 54-hole Zach Johnson Invitational on Tuesday at Glen Oaks Country Club with solid performances across the board. After entering the final round in seventh place, the Huskies finished with strong individual efforts that helped maintain their position in a tight 10-team field.

Junior Brooks Pawlak led the Huskies with a final score of four-over par (70-75-72), finishing 12th overall. Pawlak's final round featured a birdie on hole 4 and steady pars down the back nine, including a birdie on hole 15 and a clutch par save on the par-5 16th.

Freshman Julian Worrell also finished at four-over par (72-72-73) for 12th place individually. Worrell's third-round 73 was highlighted by three birdies on the holes 4, 11 and 18.

Senior Carter Patterson closed the tournament with a 70 in the final round, moving up 14 spots to finish 32nd at 11-over par. Patterson's round featured four birdies, including a key birdie on hole 12, helping him climb the leaderboard and providing a late boost to the team total.

John "Cooper" Camp ended at 15-over par, finishing in 43rd place, while Mason Napier finished at 17-over par for 49th. Napier's final-round 71 included multiple birdies on the front nine and steady par play down the stretch, showing resilience and consistency.

As a team, HCU posted a strong final-round 286 (+2), anchored by Pawlak and Worrell, allowing the Huskies to remain competitive in a tightly packed leaderboard. The team finished with combined rounds of 295 (+11), 299 (+15), and 286 (+2) for the 54-hole total. While North Dakota captured the team title, HCU's performance highlighted depth, consistency, and improvement from the first round through the final day.

The Huskies now turn their focus to the Bayou City Collegiate Classic at Westwood CC, looking to build on the momentum from a competitive showing at Glen Oaks.
