Jordan Romano (2-3) took the loss for the Golden Eagles, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits in two innings.  ORU starter Pepe Gomez gave up five runs on nine hits in four innings.

ORU got on the board first when Colt led off the third with a single, went to second on a sacrifice bunt, then scored on an RBI single by Brandy. Brandy scored on an RBI single by Boss to put the Golden Eagles ahead, 2-0.

HBU answered in the top of the fourth, when Brown led off with a single and McCoy was hit by a pitch, but Brown was thrown out at third on Nehrir's sacrifice bunt attempt. Martinez followed with a single to right, and McCoy and Nehrir scored on an error by the rightfielder to tie the game. Clay then delivered an RBI single to give the Huskies a 3-2 lead.

The Huskies added five more in the fifth, as Jones and Brown led off with back-to-back singles, then McCoy blasted a three-run home run, his team-leading third of the season, to put HBU up, 6-2. The Huskies weren't finished as Nehrir singled up the middle, Wiggins followed with a double, then junior second baseman Clayton Vaughn's squeeze bunt plated Nehrir. Clay reached on an error by the first baseman, which allowed Wiggins to score and give HBU an 8-2 advantage.

The Golden Eagles got a run in the sixth as Boss drew a leadoff walk and scored on an RBI single by Migliaccio, but the Huskies got it right back in the top of the seventh when Wiggins led off with a single and scored on Clay's RBI single to right.

Domenico led off the seventh with a single, then later scored when Boss beat out a potential inning-ending double play grounder to cut the Golden Eagles' deficit to 9-4.

Audie Afenir reached on an error to lead off the eighth, the Migliaccio and Colt singled to load the bases. Afenir was thrown out at home when Healy reached on a fielder's choice, and Domenico reached on a fielder' plate a run. Brandy smacked an RBI single up the middle, then Trevino's three-run shot tied the game, 9-9.

Brandon Healy and Domenico led off the bottom of the 10th with singles, before Brandy popped up to short for the first out. Trevino was hit by a pitch to load the bases, and Boss lifted a sacrifice fly to left to cut the Huskies' lead to one, but Sequeira grounded out to first to end the game.

The Huskies return home for 11 of their final 15 games, which includes a five-game homestand next week, beginning with UTSA Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Husky Field.
