WACO, Texas – Baylor jumped out to an early lead and held HBU down until a ninth-inning rally, for a 9-3 victory in non-conference baseball Tuesday night at Baylor Ballpark.

CJ Jarvis went 3-for-4 with a triple, a walk and an RBI to extend his hitting streak to five games for the Huskies (9-8). Junior catcher

Jordan McCoy were each 2-for-4. Sophomore
Christian Cokinos delivered an RBI, pinch double and junior third baseman also had an RBI in the ninth.
Adam Toth went 3-for-5 with an RBI and scored a pair of runs for the Bears (11-9), while West Tunnell was 3-for-4 with four RBIs.
Daniel Castano (2-0) earned the win for Baylor, allowing four hits in four innings. Junior
Ross Kennell (0-3) took the loss for HBU, giving up five runs on five hits in 2/3 of an inning. Sophomore lefty
Matthew McCollough sho\ut the Bears down on two hits over the final three innings.
Baylor scored five runs on six hits in the first, then added three runs on four hits in the second. HBU put together a three-run ninth.
The Huskies return to action when they host New Orleans in a three-game Southland Conference series Friday through Sunday at Husky Field. Friday's game starts at 2 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. start Saturday, and a 2 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.
