Final ResultsCORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The HBU women's golf team finished in second place after round three Tuesday of the Islander Classic at the 6,108-yard, par-72 Corpus Christi Country Club.
Junior
Rachel Mulkey fired a second straight round of 75 totaling a 223 tying for fifth place, only four strokes behind first place. Junior
Caitlyn Cassity shot a 2-over par 74 making it the team best of the day. Cassity carded an overall 227 tying for 13
th place, only eight strokes behind first place. Sophomore

Christina Cantu finished the third round with an 81 and 82, respectively, tying for 30
th at 233. Senior
Katie Paxton shot a 76 tallying at 235 tying for 35
th place.
Charlotte Hartshorn played individually, shooting a 1-over par 73 in the third round finishing at 235.
Lamar fired a second straight round of 295, finishing in first place at 892. HBU finished at 908, seven strokes ahead of third place Oral Roberts which carded a 915. Oklahoma City finished in fourth place, just two strokes behind ORU, while North Texas finished in fifth at 921.
Oklahoma City's Elia Folch fired a 4-over par 73 maintaining her hold on first place at 219. Lamar's Wenny Chang and Central Arkansas's Sarah Brown carded an even par 72, while Sam Houston State's Alisa White shot a 2-over par 74. All three tied for second at 220. UNT's Eji Kwon and Bradley's Danielle Lemek finished with an overall 223 tying Mulkey for fifth.
The Huskies return to competition at the Lady Eagle Invitational March 10-11 at Hattiesburg Country Club in Hattiesburg, Miss.
