Final Results
 
BRYAN, Texas – The HBU men's golf team finished in tenth place after the final round Tuesday of the Miramont Invitational at 7,174-yd, par-72 Miramont Country Club.  The tournament was limited to 36 holes after rain delayed play on Monday.
                                                                  
Senior Preston Stanley fired a first round of 1-over par-73 and a second round of 3-under par-69, tying for eighth place with a total of 2-under par-142.  Stanley scorched the course with six birdies and nine even-par holes in the second round.  Senior Trey Cassity shot a first and second round of 73 and 76, respectively, tying for 30^th with 149.  Cassity had a competitive first round with four birdies and nine even-par holes.  Senior Brandon Wilhide carded an 80 in the first round followed by an even-par 72 second round to finish with a total of 152 and tied for 47^th.  Wilhide shot 13 even-par holes in the first round and he fired five birdies in the second.  Junior Isaiah Huerta carded a 77 and 78 in the first and second rounds to tie for 63^rd at 155.  Huerta shot even-par in 25 of the 36 holes.  Senior Jeffrey Merrell posted an 87 in the first round followed by a second round of 75, totaling 162 to tie for 73^rd.  Freshman Raul Hernandez played individually and shot a 2-over par-74 in the first round and a 77 in the second.
 
Houston finished in first place with a team total of 11-under par-565.  UTSA landed in second place with 581.  Columbia scored 587 to finish third.  Rice, Sam Houston State, Louisiana, and Texas State all tied for fourth place with 588. 
 
Louisiana's Louis Kelly placed first with back to back rounds of 3-under par-69 to total 138.  Roman Robledo for Houston shot a second round of 5-under par-67 to place second with 139.  UTSA's Brett Hogan and Houston's Michael Perras totaled one stroke behind Robledo to land in third place.  Three people tied for fifth place with a total score of 141.
 
The Huskies return to play October 27-28 for the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational at Quail Valley Golf Club in Vero Beach, Fla.
