ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan shot 64 percent from the field and hit 16-of-26 3-pointers as the 21
st-ranked Wolverines scored a 107-53 victory over HBU Saturday afternoon at Chrisler Center.

Ricmonds Vilde led HBU (3-6) with 10 points each. Junior guard
Marcel Smith had nine points, three rebounds and three assists in his return to his home state. Junior guard
Tyler Russell had eight points, four rebounds and four assists, but was held scoreless in the second half. Freshman center
Cody Stetler led the Huskies with five rebounds.
Nick Stauskas led five Michigan (6-3) players in double figures with 25 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range. Glenn Robinson III had 17 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Derrick Walton and Zak Irvin scored 14 apiece. Mitch McGary had 12 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Wolverines.
HBU shot 39 percent from the field for the game, and 4-of-17 from 3-point range. The Wolverines went 19-of-25 from the free-throw line, compared to 3-of-4 for the Huskies. Michigan outrebounded HBU, 33-26.
The Huskies opened the game with a layup by Vilde on a dish from Crayton, but McGary powered through for an answer on the other end. Vilde and McGary traded short jumpers, but a free throw by McGary and a dunk by Stauskas put the Wolverines up by three. Russell buried a long jumper, Robinson took a lob pass for a layup, but Russell drilled a three to tie the game, 9-9, with 16:34 left.
Michigan regained the lead on back-to-back threes by Walton and Stauskas, but Russell knocked down his second triple of the half. Irvin and Smith traded threes, then Robinson coverted a three-point play as the Wolverines led, 21-15, with 13:18 to go. After Smith sank a floater and Vilde grabbed an offensive board for a reverse layup, Stauskas and Robinson each hit threes to put Michigan ahead, 29-19, with 10:54 on the clock.
Jon Horford banked in a turnaround jumper from the block for Michigan, before Lewis ended the Wolverines' 8-0 run with a pull-up jumper. Stauskas extended Michigan's lead to 20 with 6:43 left, but freshman guard
Jimmy Barton made a three and Lewis sank a pair of free throws for HBU. Stauskas hit two more threes and Robinson's dunk just before the buzzer gave the Wolverines a 60-34 lead at halftime.
Michigan shot 68 percent from the field, including 10-of-16 from 3-point range, while HBU shot 67 percent and 4-of-6 from behind the arc in the first half. The Wolverines outrebounded the Huskies, 12-6, and forced HBU into 10 turnovers. Russell led HBU with eight points at the break, while Stauskas had 17 and Robinson had 14 for Michigan.
The Wolverines scored the first eight points of the second half to open up a 32-point advantage. Threes by Robinson and Irvin gave Michigan a 78-41 lead with 12:29 left. An 11-0 run put the Wolverines ahead, 89-43, with 8:27 to go. After getting off to such a hot start, the Huskies only shot 24 percent in the second half and missed all 11 of their 3-point attempts.
The Huskies return home to host UT Arlington Saturday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Sharp Gym.
