2013-14 (Junior): Smith appeared in 26 games and started 18…averaged 6.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game and led the team for the third-straight season with 78 assists and added 14 steals…shot 38.8 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from 3-point range and 88.9 percent from the free-throw line…scored in double figures four times and had four or more assists on 11 occasions…poured in a career-high 21 points, shooting 5-of-9 from the field, 3-for-3 from behind the arc and 8-of-10 from the line in a win over Northwestern State (1/11)…scored 16 points, going 5-for-5 from the field, including 2-for-2 from 3-point range and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line and dished out four assists in a win over Rice (12/4)…scored 13 points against Crowley’s Ridge (11/11) and scored 10 points against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2/22)…dished out a career-high eight assists against New Orleans (1/23)…had six assists at Pepperdine (12/21) and at Central Arkansas (1/4).
2012-13 (Sophomore): Earned Great West All-Conference honorable mention…played all 31 games, making 29 starts…averaged 7.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game and led the team with 79 assists and was second with 32 steals…scored in double figures seven times…scored a season-high 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range, and dished out four assists against Army (12/31)…had eight points and a season-high seven assists at Texas A&M (1/3)…scored 18 points in the Huskies’ 76-74 double overtime victory over Utah Valley in the first round of the Great West Conference Tournament (3/14)…scored 16 points against Chicago State in the championship game (3/16).
2011-12 (Freshman): Appeared in 27 games, including 22 starts, and averaged 24.0 minutes per game in his first season…averaged 6.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and tied for the team lead with 67 assists…shot 43.1% from the field, 39.3% from 3-point range and 81.4% from the free-throw line…scored in double figures seven times…posted a season-high 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting in an 88-83 victory over Cal State Fullerton (11/20/11)…scored 14 points, hitting 7-of-7 from the free-throw line, in an 87-76 win over Campbell (12/14/11)…scored 11 points and grabbed a season-high four rebounds against Dallas Christian (12/10/11)…dished out a season-high six assists at Duquesne (12/31/11) and had five on two other occasions…made 19-of-20 free throws over 10 games to start the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year starter for Coaches Tes, Woods and Talley…averaged 20.4 points and eight assists per game as a senior to earn All-State Class C honors as well as All-Area First-Team – West accolades…averaged 17.7 points per game and seven assists as a junior, earning fourth-team All-State Class C honors and leading his team to the state championship, becoming the first charter school in Michigan to do so…averaged 14.5 points and four assists per game as a sophomore…averaged 9.7 points and five assists per game as a freshman to make the Class B All-Freshman Team…played AAU basketball for The Family and Coaches Williamson and Walker…averaged 12 points and 10 assists and helped the squad capture the 2009 Nike Peach Jam under-16 title…was his class valedictorian, was a member of the National Honor Society and was appointed to the National Leaders Conference.
